Our Story

Owner and Operator- Jim West

Prior to founding Westworks Construction, Jim West was a successful carpenter for 16 years in Vancouver. Jim set out to create his own construction company in 1997 with values of accountability, professionalism, and creativity. Stemming from his building experience and education in history, Jim has an excellent imagination and vision for the future– making him the perfect contractor to hash ideas out with. Jim is also a proficient wood-carver and is the driving force behind Westworks’s Woodwork/Art offering. Jim has lived his entire life in North Vancouver and doesn’t plan on leaving.  He has a wife and four children, and is a large contributor to the North Shore community.

 

The Crew

Westworks employs a team of skilled carpenters and labourers who are committed to helping clients turn their dreams into reality. Through different apprenticeship programs, Westworks hires many aspiring carpenters and gives them support and flexibility to explore their passions and find a career that works for them. The Westworks Holiday Party is a crew favourite where former and current employees come together to share some laughs and connect.
